No matter where you live, or what you’ve learned along the way, you can make an incredible difference in your community by becoming a St John NT volunteer and learn life-saving skills.
St John NT have three levels of membership – Adult, Cadet and Junior. Volunteer induction sessions are run once a month, for approximately two hours. As these are delivered online, they can be attended from any location.
Volunteers aged 18 years and older provide quality First Aid services to the Norther Territory’s wide range of events, shows, and festivals. Volunteers are provided with accredited First Aid training and have opportunities to gain additional accredited certificates including a Certificate II in Medical Service First Response and Certificate III in Basic Health Care.
Cadets are invited to assist adult volunteers in First Aid services at events across the Territory. Cadets are also offered accredited First Aid training and are able to build their skills by working alongside seasoned volunteers. St John NT provides unique opportunities for Cadet members to practice their skills, such as the annual Cadet Competitions and National Cadet Competitions.
In 2019, St John NT won the national cadet competitions!
Junior members are provided an introduction to First Aid and are able to attend events while accompanying an adult member. Junior members are able to learn about First Aid and experience the excitement of what First Aid Volunteers do.
