Strategic Plan Mental Health & Wellbeing Strategy 2025-28 Committed to best practice in mental healthOur Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy 2025–28 sets a clear framework to protect and promote the psychological health and wellbeing of our people, recognising the unique and cumulative impacts of emergency and community health work, including exposure to trauma, fatigue and psychosocial risk.Informed by workforce consultation, psychosocial risk assessment and national evidence, including Beyond Blue’s Answering the Call study, which found emergency services workers experience more than twice the rate of high or very high psychological distress compared to the general population, the strategy embeds prevention, early intervention and accessible support into everyday organisational practice. Through practical actions across the employee lifecycle, it supports a safe, engaged and sustainable workforce now and into the future.
