• What we stand for: We are a not-for-profit and community-based organisation working for the service of humanity
  • Our Integrity: All St John NT funds go back into the NT to support our community programs. By doing a St John NT first aid course, buying a St John first aid kit, or using any of our other services you are supporting vital community programs like keeping our volunteers at local events: purchasing new equipment and providing training, and offering free of charge training through our First Aid in Schools and First@Scene programs
  • Our Quality – As a Registered Training Organisation (#4529) delivering training under the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) standards we are a leader of first aid related goods and services in the Territory. Our staff are trained in the latest first aid procedures, techniques and equipment, and many of us have a background on the frontline of first aid and health service industries
  • Our Dedication: The history of St John dates back to around 1070 when the Order of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem first came into being. We’ve been present in the Territory since 1915 when the first known record of St John was found in the Northern Territory Times and Gazette. Since then we have grown to volunteer divisions around the Territory, the NT’s full emergency ambulance service and much more. This consistent and ongoing service demonstrates our commitment and dedication to the Northern Territory community
  • Our Volunteers: We have an around 450 volunteers Territory-wide who attend local community events being the first to aid the ill and injured. Last year (2012/13) our volunteers contributed over 42,000 hours of volunteer service, equating to 1,783 days (24 hours). With most of their service given on the weekend you can see how dedicated they are. These hours equate to over $1.5 million in paid work last year alone.
