With so many members doing other things at this time it is hard to get a training session going. We had three starters last week but we managed to amuse ourselves with the lifting and moving gear from car 56.

20070227_HDThis weeks training will again centre on Wounds, same as last week for the SMP. After the weekend Supers meet I have discovered that maintaining the SMP is not as difficult as I imagined.

Duties coming up will be AFL and the Car Rally people at Freds Pass if they remember to request the duty. Haven't got the latest as this goes to the editor.

I will not be available next weekend so I ask that you think about that for Humpty Doo. Robyn has already expressed an interest. The coming Wednesday the 28th is the last Wednesday of the month and that traditionally means that we look after the Old Timers from 1000 to 1200 with Blood pressures and Pulses. More great training for those who get time off.

What started as an Area First Aider for volunteer rural assistance to the Ambulance Service now looks like being called Community Response Volunteer. I see it involving comms. skills, triage and Observations training. Basically being a good set of eyes, ears and hands for comms. so the urgency of the situation can determined more reliably in times of service overload.

Had a nice hot and quiet day at the motocross at Gunn Point road. DO Hatfield from Casuarina Cadets gave me a hand and all went smoothly.

Hoping Helen is back from holidays so we can get all the goss. We will have to do a Kit raffle and promotion day at Coolalinga again soon.

I heard that PalmLessTonnes is starting up again soon. It got a bit tiring for me last year but if I can get some support we can do better this time. That involved a small team on the Sunday morning weigh in to take pulse rates and Blood Pressures for those who wanted it. Great skills practice. Palmerston Division did help out last year but most of those people have now left.
