Ross Coburn is a long- term Territorian arriving in the Northern Territory in 1986. He started his employment with St John Ambulance Australia (NT) Inc in 1993 as the Business Manager, which developed into Corporate Management. Ross CoburnRoss was then appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of St John Ambulance Australia (NT) Inc in February 2008.

The role of the CEO involves providing direction and guidance to our leadership team and all staff and Volunteers across the Territory on all issues, challenges and opportunities that arise within the organisation. An important part of the role is to continually build and develop the community profile of the organisation and promote the values and services of St John across all levels of the business community and government alike. St John Ambulance Australia (NT) Inc is a multi-faceted organisation, providing a range of services to the community, with the overarching aim to be the leading provider of First Aid, Ambulance, and related health services in Australia. As the Chief Executive Officer, fulfilling this aim has always required an awareness and involvement across all departments within the organisation and across the Territory.

Whilst also being a Board member for St John Ambulance NT Entities & Secretariat to the Board, Ross holds professional membership with the Certified Practicing Accountants (CPA) and a fellowship with the Australian Institute for Company Directors. Ross has also been admitted within the Order of St John as a member.

Ross has long been involved within the local community over the years especially with his contribution to the Northern Territory AFL, where he has held a position on the Board of Directors for 9 years. In addition to his work and community commitments Ross is a dedicated family man. He has been married to his wife, Leanne for 18 years and has three children- Alice, Tom and Nick.
