St John NT is proud to announce its six recipients of the 2026 CAA Women in Ambulance Honours, recognising outstanding women whose leadership, clinical excellence and commitment to culture are shaping the future of ambulance care across the Northern Territory.

Announced to St John NT staff and volunteers in the lead-up to International Women’s Day, the Honours celebrate the contributions of women working across frontline operations, emergency communications and leadership roles.

This year’s recipients are:

  • Melanie Webb, Emergency Medical Dispatcher (Darwin)
  • Jessica Jeggo, Paramedic (Darwin)
  • Emily Mangione, Paramedic (Darwin)
  • Kelsey Squire, Intensive Care Paramedic (Darwin)
  • Catherine Nunn, Paramedic (Katherine)
  • Elyse Taylor-Jackson, Duty Manager (Alice Springs)

Each recipient has made a significant impact within St John NT and the communities they serve – from mentoring the next generation of paramedics and strengthening team culture, to working in high-pressure operational environments where calm decision-making and clinical skill are critical.

Emergency Medical Dispatcher and Honours recipient Melanie Webb said the recognition highlights the important role women play across ambulance services.

“I’m incredibly proud to work alongside so many capable and supportive women across our service,” Ms Webb said.

“Women bring strength, empathy and resilience to every part of ambulance care, whether that’s on road, in the communications centre, or supporting teams behind the scenes.

“It’s really encouraging to see that contribution recognised and to know that more women are stepping into these roles and building careers in the profession.”

St John NT CEO Abigail Trewin AM said the recipients exemplify the values and professionalism that underpin the organisation.

“These six women represent the very best of St John NT, leading with integrity, compassion and courage,” Ms Trewin said.

“They are clinicians, communicators, mentors and leaders who support their colleagues and deliver exceptional care to Territorians every day.

“Recognition like this matters because visibility and representation encourages the next generation of women to see themselves in these roles.

“When women are supported to lead and thrive across our service, our teams are stronger and the care we deliver to the community is better.”

From Darwin to Alice Springs and Katherine, this year’s honourees reflect the depth of talent across the Territory. Their combined contributions strengthen operational capability, foster inclusive workplaces and ensure high-quality, patient-centred care for Territorians every day.

St John NT congratulates all 2026 CAA Women in Ambulance Honours recipients and thanks them for their dedication, leadership and service.
