St John NT staff and volunteers will be recognised for their dedication and service to the community tonight at the 2026 Order of St John Investiture and Awards Ceremony at the CDU Danala Education and Community Precinct in Darwin.
The annual ceremony recognises individuals who are admitted to, or promoted within, the Order of St John, a royal order of chivalry under the Crown. Membership of the Order is a recognised honour under the Australian Honours System and reflects outstanding service and commitment to the values of St John.
The ceremony will be officiated by Mr Cameron Oxley GCStJ, Chancellor, St John Ambulance Australia.
St John NT Chief Executive Officer Abi Trewin said the ceremony was an opportunity to formally recognise the extraordinary contribution of St John people across the Northern Territory.
“Our staff and volunteers serve Territorians with professionalism, compassion and commitment every day, often in challenging circumstances and across vast distances,” Ms Trewin said.
“Tonight’s recipients represent decades of service to the community and to St John. Their contribution has made a meaningful difference to the lives of Territorians and it is wonderful to see that recognised.”
“These honours reflect the values that sit at the heart of St John, as well as our commitment to helping others.”
The ceremony forms part of St John NT’s recognition of St John Day, which is marked annually across the organisation and reflects the long history, service and values of St John in communities around the world.
Tonight’s St John NT recipients include members recognised through admissions to the Order of St John, Volunteer Service Medals, Grand Prior Badges and National Service Medals.
