Trained to the highest standard
All 16+ members of Volunteer First Aid Services (VFAS) attend Divisional Training and are expected to obtain a Provide First Aid (PFA) certificate (HLTAID003) and a Provide Advanced First Aid (PAFA) certificate (HLTAID006). Members are encouraged to develop their first aid skills and to maintain currency through a re-accreditation program.
Training is provided from the Certificate II Medical Emergency First Response through to Certificate III Basic Health Care. Other training accredited courses include communications, driving & leadership.
