St John NT is calling for Aboriginal artists or designers with family of origin from the Northern Territory to submit an Expression of Interest to produce a piece of artwork to be used in connection with its Reconciliation Action Plan.  

As an organisation which services the whole of the Northern Territory community, we appreciate that the majority of our clients are Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples and that our commitment to engagement and understanding may assist in bridging the gap in health care.

Our values of integrity, respect, quality, dedication and compassion are intrinsically linked to how we will achieve our reconciliation goals and improve our relationship with all Australians.

The St John NT Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and Board were unanimous in their support for a RAP and endorsed the establishment of a Reconciliation Working Group to review our approach towards reconciliation. The Working Group includes organisational representatives who been brought together to design the Reflect RAP and its implementation.

The purpose of the artwork is to provide a visual representation of how St John NT will bring its vision for reconciliation to life through its mission to save lives and build community resilience, demonstrating how we are connected across the Territory. 

St John NT staff and volunteers are dedicated and compassionate about the health and wellbeing of the people they serve. As an organisation it aims to build and strengthen relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stakeholders and organisations, create opportunities for better understanding and contribute to improved social and economic outcomes for all Australians.

The artwork will be used throughout our RAP document and used to promote and educate stakeholders about our RAP journey. It may also be used on relevant and appropriate St John NT promotional materials about the strategy, both digitally and in printed format and may be extended to other items such as uniforms or vehicle livery.
