St John NT Official Media Releases, News, Events & Promotions
Today the Northern Territory implements a further easing of restrictions as we move into Stage 2 of the Northern Territory Government’s “Roadmap to the new normal”.
We are pleased to see that Territory businesses, clubs and pubs are starting to reopen and that Territorians can get back to some of the things they cherish.
At St John NT, we are taking every step to ensure that our staff, volunteers and community remain safe during this period of transition and have taken a staged approach in our return to business.
Casuarina and Katherine Ambulance Stations
As of Monday, 18 May the Casuarina and Katherine reception desks will be open for billing, training enquiries and purchasing first aid products.
Youth Programs - Cadets & Juniors
We are pleased to advise that Juniors and Cadets will be able to resume face-to-face divisional meetings as of Monday, 18 May. To ensure the meetings are safely managed, St John NT has put in place increased hygiene protocols, physical distancing and limits on class sizes and duration. We are looking forward to seeing our young volunteers back on deck and thank them for their patience during our “online only” period and look forward to maintaining our new Territory wide virtual sessions as well.
First Aid Training
Public first aid classes in Darwin and Alice Springs are now open for bookings from Tuesday, 9 June. At this stage Darwin classes will be held in our facilities at Parap and Palmerston. We have contacted students directly who had classes cancelled due to social distancing. Information regarding classes is available on our website, online and 1-2 hour face to face assessments will be available until 5 June at our Palmerston centre.
If you are interested in these first aid training sessions, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
First Aid Supplies
St John NT retail stores will continue to stock PPE. Information regarding these products can be found here. We are also available for onsite restocking services for businesses to ensure your First Aid kits are up to standard.
If you are interested in an item that is not included on this list, please contact our retail team at email@example.com or 8935 2500.
We are offering a 20% discount on first aid kits and equipment until the end of May to help Territory families and businesses get back on track. Discount applies for purchases from our local retail teams at Allchurch Street in Alice Springs and 416 Stuart Highway, Winnellie.
We are also happy to offer contactless payment and collection for all your First Aid requirements.
Our Community Education team is now taking bookings for term 3 and looks forward to getting back out into Territory schools.
We will also continue to offer free non-accredited online first aid lessons via Zoom, including a school program best suited for ages 9-14, General First Aid for ages 15 and up, and a Baby and Child program for anyone who may be caring for a baby or child.
