Become a St John Volunteer

become a volunteer

St John Volunteers are ordinary people with everyday lives who give up their spare time to provide first aid services to the Northern Territory Community.

There is a range of opportunities for volunteers to become involved with St John.

Volunteers provide first aid coverage and support at sporting, entertainment and community events they can assist the Ambulance Service by providing personnel as ambulance crew and in emergency events, such as manning cyclone shelters.

Another type of membership is as an Operational Support member. Operational Support members perform roles such as logistics, administration, training or supervision in cadet divisions.

Volunteers meet each week to ensure their first aid training is current and maintained, using the latest techniques and equipment. St John volunteers donate their time free of charge to provide professional first aid support to the whole community.
