Our volunteers come from different backgrounds and professions yet are united in their aim to help the sick and the injured in the community.20070904_HD_thumb

20070904_HD0_thumbThey make a difference.

There is a range of opportunities for volunteers to become involved with St John. As a volunteer you become a valuable member of the team helping the community in the familiar black and white uniform.

Volunteers provide first aid coverage and support at sporting, entertainment and community events, can assist the Ambulance Service by providing personnel as ambulance crew and in emergency events such as manning  cyclone shelters.

Another type of membership is as an Operational Support member. Operational Support members perform roles such as logistics, administration, training or supervision in cadet divisions.

Volunteers meet each week to ensure their first aid training is current and maintained. Using the latest techniques and equipment, St John volunteers donate their time free of charge to provide professional first aid support to the community.
