This intensive, 80 hour program is designed to meet the needs of ‘on-site’ advanced care personnel. In some cases (industry dependant), support for communication consult policy, casualty care procedures and/or protocols, contained in this program will be required from the designated Site Medical Officer (a Doctor). Many of the drugs used during this program are used only for ‘example’ purposes and their use outside of the classroom does not infer their acceptance ‘on-site’.

People and groups who should consider this level of first aid training are those who:
  • have a specific ‘site’ advanced casualty care responder function/role
  • are members of ‘site’ emergency response teams
  • are formally responsible for a site first aid response
  • wish to achieve further skills which may aid toward future employment
  • are interested in helping to promote the health and well being of their workplace community

Pre-Entry Standard: An Occupational First Aid credential or recognised equivalent, achieved within the last 3 years (strictly applied)

The training will assist learners to:
    <>

  • This program is delivered over 80 hours (2 consecutive weeks, weekends free)
  • Does not intend to infer individual, non-consultative operations
  • Extensive theoretical background information forms an integral component of the Industrial Paramedic program
