Thank you for your interest on how to become a volunteer with St John Ambulance Australia in the Northern Territory. This website will give you some basic information on how you can join St John as a volunteer. Additional information will be sent to you once your application paperwork has been approved and processed. Through your association with St John, you will derive much satisfaction from helping others by using your first aid skills. You will also meet many people from different backgrounds and the camaraderie within the organisation can result in life long friendships. Whilst most of our volunteers are first aiders, Operations Branch also has non-uniformed memberships. Non-uniformed members that provide assistance with a variety of roles including administration within divisions, attending camps, providing leadership and helping at annual first aid competitions. St John is also an organisation that the whole family can join. Adults can either join an adult division or assist with cadet divisions. Children can join a cadet division from the age of 11 years and we currently have three divisions in the Northern Territory that have St John Juniors, from the age of 8 years.
