The Batchelor St John Ambulance Division is based in the scenic town of Batchelor at the gateway to Litchfield Park approximately 100 km south of Darwin. Our division is a small but active group of volunteers that meet regularly for training at the Batchelor Health Clinic. As well as training we cover a wide range of public duties such as the Adelaide River Races and Show, the Lingalonga and Isotopia festivals plus community events such as Australia Day and A.N.Z.A.C. Day. We are lucky enough to have a state of the art Mercedes Sprinter Ambulance that was kindly donated by the Lions Club and an Ambulance Shed with a new veranda donated by the A.N.Z. Bank. This infrastructure helps us to provide a volunteer ambulance service for the Coomalie Region which is called on to help in a wide variety of emergency situations. Because we are a small division we are always looking for new volunteers. If you are interested please contact St John NT Headquarters on (08) 8922 6228.
