Howdy doody everyone,

20100520_Vollie_News 24Katherine has had a slow weekend this time around as there was only our regular Friday night duty of Under 18 Rugby and Moto X.

Friday night games were good with only two minor nose bleeds that happened in the early part of the evening, only one of which was started due to the football making contact to the face in their training.

Gratitude goes to Amy for volunteering with me to cover this duty once again. Thank you. 20100520_Vollie_News 25

At Moto X on Sunday the crowd was fairly thin with not many competitors, which made for an early finish for the day. There were no injuries at Moto X today although we were asked for an ice pack for one rider who had sustained a dislocation to his shoulder several days before and wanted to nurse it in between his races.

Congratulations goes to Anthony for coming 3rd in his race (pictured),20100520_Vollie_News 26 Well done Anthony.

Thank you goes to Mick for volunteering with me all day and Anthony….. no, not rider Anthony…. our member Anthony for helping out for half a day.

Until next time my friends, keep helping out wherever you can. Even if it is only a small amount of the duty, it all helps at the end of the day.
