Last night at our meeting we practiced bandaging.20100218_Kath2 Steve, our Superintendent as well as I were originally Privates in a division in Brisbane with Angie Butler as our Superintendent.

If you were to do a bandaging night with Angie you would never forget how to do them. If you want to learn the best bandaging and know that it is going to serve its purpose and not fall off, then old school is definitely the way to learn. 20100218_Kath3

I know that to some of you a bandage is a bandage and if it’s on the injury then it is serving its purpose, then you aren’t taking any pride.
There is an art to the rationale of correct bandaging techniques and when learning how to do them correctly it can be lots of fun.
20100218_Kath4Steve went through all the basic injury bandages and slings then went into a few more advanced ways of bandaging injuries that can be used for head lacerations and hand lacerations. All in all it was a really good night enjoyed by all the members.

T.T.F.N friends and happy bandaging coz I know you are going to go and practice.
