Hello from Katherine, Phew!!! What a busy week it has been for all.

Thursday we had a very interesting night at training with a couple of whirlwind modules covered to catch up and start wrapping up the end of the year.

Friday night was the 2nd night of Rugby that Steve and I covered.
It was good to see that both games were played fairly tonight as it was last game.
Pirates V’s Barbarians with Pirates having a 2 point lead for the night and the winning favourites.
Second game for the night was played between Lyons and Brahmans with a whopping big lead of 39 points in Brahmans favour.
There was only one injury for the night with a player from the Barbarian team. One of his own team members landed on his thigh causing his knee to bend on the wrong angle, all is good though, after initial RICE treatment and assessment he was happy enough to be left in the care of his team’s strapper who is also an RN from Katherine Hospital.

The weekend was fast and furious with a fleeting journey to Darwin on Saturday for Steve to attend the Vollie Superintendents’ meeting.

Back in Katherine that night we helped celebrate one of our volunteers who had a milestone birthday. Happy Birthday Suzi from the crew of Katherine. It was a great night with a fancy dress theme, come as your favourite movie star.

That’s it for this week folks, stay tuned for next week’s results and any other crazy news from Katherine.
