Continued from Part 2...

“We will put the fire out if you don’t get a move on!” Stirred into action, we packed up and got our bikes, drink bottles and helmets ready for our return to Alice Springs.

We took a short cut on the way back. (This saved us about 4 kilometers.)
Sure wish we knew about it on the way there as well.  

We stopped with about seven km to go to have lunch.

We saw lots of interesting things like…
spiders, and a goanna hole, and we found out that the golden orb spider likes caramelized popcorn.
We saw it trying to poison the popcorn, it was great fun.

Then we finally got to Flynn's Grave. We thought we had finished but Mr. Knight said we had to ride to the St John centre, another nine kilometers away. OH NO!

When we arrived at the Centre (after what seemed like forever), Geoff was there waiting. He said, "didn't take your time getting here did ya'? I wasn't expecting you back for at least another half an hour." We all had a cold drink, and then all the parents started to come and pick up their kids.
