Over the last couple of weeks we have all had a little extra time on our hands… although we used it up doing things around the house or the other volunteer jobs we all do!
The Offroad Club needed to postpone the NT titles at least twice. We will give it another try this ANZAC day weekend. We have a contingent of 23 Cadets marching this year for ANZAC day. It will be delightful to see, although most of our adult members will be out of town on duty with the Aileron Enduro and the Offroaders all racing this weekend and BMX giving it another try. Recently here in the Alice we had the Formula 500’s hold their Australian titles and a true racing fan frenzy it was, some pics below. Also this week we had the very sad passing of a wonderful Territorian, Bernie Kilgariff, a man who gave his entire life to giving and sharing. The Alice Springs Division attended, along with some extras from up north and some from interstate. As the coffin was carried into the church we had the privilege of performing a Guard of Honour at the State Funeral. The Cadets were very impressive and it was for most of us a very special time to be involved. See some pics below; note that most pictures were taken during form up.
