For the Alice Springs show this year we had some beautiful weather, a brilliant turn out in the First Aid shed and things ran beautifully. Steve Peers was our surprise member for Friday and it was lovely to see him out and about. We treated all the usual patients but were not extremely run off our feet. Geoff did a great job being the one constant over the whole weekend, which meant setting up with one mob of helpers and packing up with another.

The Emergency Services this year, as part of their show stall, decided to hold a demonstration for the public on how the services combine together, what our roles are and what can happen at a car accident scene. We felt it was a good opportunity to offer to the Senior Cadets as they do not regularly get that sort of exposure. The only disappointing thing was that t hey only ran one!

With our very big thanks to our local Firies, Lynda and Paramedics Sue and Garry, who incorporated and instructed Jamie & Johnno very effectively during the operation - they did say they had a blast. They didn’t need to be asked twice; the boys jumped in with both hands and did a very good job.
