This week’s story for vollie news; it’s all happening here in Palmerston.

Epi pen training as part of our re-accreditation program was the lesson for the night at Palmerston Adult Division with a really good turnout, 18 people attended the evening’s lesson.

Many thanks to Ms Sharon Fairs who gave a brilliant lecture followed by a scenario and demonstration that required taking a full set of observations and documentation.

This gave confirmation of the lesson learned, incorporating previous lessons and practical skills such as taking a BSL and Blood pressure, combined to give a full detailed history of a patient on an OB12.

"This is a bit of alright training, I got to tell ya"

It was excellent to see so many people turn out to assist those needing the re-accreditation and for newcomers to learn new skills.

That’s this week’s story and we will see you in Palmerston
