On the 6^th of October the Palmerston Youth Division held its first night. This division will hopefully bridge the gap between maturing cadets to young adults between the ages of 16 to 25.

Recently it had become apparent in many cadet divisions that members of this age were not being catered for. This led to many of them leaving Cadet Division or coming and not fully engaging in the cadet program.

This is where the Palmerston Youth Division fits in. Its first night was attended by 13 cadets/ adults from a range of divisions as well as the Division’s Superintendent Kelly Raven. The special guest of the night was Kimberlee McKay the Territory Officer of Cadets. As it is a new division the first night consisted of planning activities and setting up the logistics of the division.

The Palmerston Youth Division meets every Tuesday night from 6:30pm until 8:30pm at the Palmerston Volunteer Centre. All members 16-25 years of age are welcome to come and participate.
