It was a very warm Sunday afternoon and night at Mindil Beach this weekend. The crowds were large and even so Belinda from Administration at Casuarina Centre came out to organise and assist with ticket sales for the 2010 Volunteers’ fund raiser. Helping was Angie Butler from Palmerston Adults and Narelle McLaughlin from Casuarina Cadet Band Division, with family Sarah, Luke and Haley. 

Many thanks to Belinda and others who have given their time to help in several fund raisers for the volunteers this year. If you just take the time and think for a moment about how things we take for granted accrue it’s because we often get support from many people in various other work places or duties who may not even be in Volunteers. They could be full time ambulance officers or administration workers from your local Ambulance Station, family and friends or even more outstanding, from the Administration HQ and work site at Casuarina Centre. People like Belinda who work behind the scenes are rarely seen and yet support Volunteers throughout the Territory.

So, from all of us, we would like to say thank you to all those people who assist us in administration and organisation, often not in the spot light or uniform, but who give so freely of their own time for the organisation and us.
