As with every year, BASSINTHEGRASS was a fantastic opportunity for members to practice lots of different skills and attend to a multitude of patients in a loud, crowded and exciting environment. Well over 100 patients were treated at the event requiring everything from the standard bandaids and Panadol to asthma management, wound dressings, alcohol (and other?) overdose and a query spinal right at the end of the night. The vollies, including cadets, and paramedics made a great team and took turns covering the stage area (in front of the mosh pit and within touching distance to many of the band members) and the first aid post.
