In 1978 I was appointed as a junior Ambulance Officer to the Ambulance Service and eventually did my Paramedic training as it was back then. This was the fore-runner to what we enjoy today. It appears that the cap badge we wore on our white peak cap is pretty rare. I only know of 2 in existence in the Northern Territory. We now have again a National cap badge - but our National HQ in Canberra are totally mystified on just how we here in the NT managed to have our own! We wore white-peaked caps in those times as you will see in a picture at a Rodeo - but I had no idea that my cap badge was so rare. Want to join our team in our Historical research? Contact
