2007 Commissioner’s Message (11th December 2007) PDF Print E-mail

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your ongoing efforts throughout the year. It takes people with many different skills and much dedicated effort to keep Operations Branch functioning. My thanks go to Members, Officers within Divisions, Territory Officers and the “Volunteer Office” staff for your work during the past year. A special thank you goes to our families and partners for their support and understanding.

This year has not, so far, seen Operations Branch members involved in any responses to cyclones or floods; we have however attended the usual major and minor public duties through out the Territory. Let us hope that the “good luck” continues but prepare ourselves and our families for any eventuality that may occur.

The National Cadet Camp was held in Darwin in January 2007. The Camp was a great success thanks to the efforts of the organising committee and the members who supported them during the camp.

I look forward to working with members of Operations Branch, Training Branch and Service next year “For the Benefit of Mankind”.

Merry Christmas and a Safe and Prosperous New Year to you all (and a speedy recovery wish to Steve Peers)

Regards, Peter Poole
Commissioner
