We would like to give our sincere thanks to David Bruhn, Promotions Manager / Group Co-Ordinator Independent Brands Australia – NT and Amy Picone, Business Development Manager, Australian Liquor Marketers for choosing St John Ambulance Volunteers as the recipients of money raised at the Sports Charity Lunch. Special guests at the lunch were former test cricketer, Darren Lehmann and AFL high flyer, Russell Robertson. The lunch and auction of sporting memorabilia raised over $20,000 for the volunteers.

This is just a quick note to all, to say a big THANK YOU for your help, support and participation in the inaugural SPORTS CHARITY LUNCH 2009.

I believe the day was a great success, raising over $20,000 for the St John Ambulance Volunteers NT!

A lot of work was put into the day to pull it all together in just over 3 weeks and it would not have been possible if it wasn't for    the great sponsors, the support of The Bottle-O and Cellarbrations stores, and the many people that worked hard in various areas to make the event a success.

I would like also to make a special mention of some key people for their huge efforts involved with this event, Amy Picone from The Bottle-O and Cellarbrations team for her work in helping arrange the function and ensuring smoothing sailing on the day, The Darwin Convention Centre team for their superb effort with great food, service and setting, The Lab Creative team who arranged the entertainment as hosted Brad Elliot on the day, they were very professional to deal with in all the lead up work and the performances yesterday were fantastic and I would highly recommend The Lab Creative for any entertainment / function needs.

We fully intend to run this as an annual event and make it bigger and better next year!
