Kristy Janssen, Vollie News 28 Jan 20104our NT Ambassador and member of the Alice Springs Cadet Division, Sarah McLaughlin of the Cadet Band Division, competing on the National Cadet First Aid Team and Amy McKay Cadet Leader and Chair of the NT Youth Council arrived in New Vollie News 28 Jan 20105Zealand on Monday 25 January.

They make up part of the 18 member team representing Australia at the International Youth Festival. Other countries represented include England, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Canada, Germany, Wales and Singapore.

As I write this article, I am told the competitions have just finished (being held on Australia Day) with results due in a few hours. The Chief Cadet Officer, Helen Banu Lawrence has just sent me a text to say our Cadets did Australia proud. Aussie, Aussie, Aussie, Oi, Oi, Oi!

The International Youth Festival website is being updated throughout the camp, so if you wish to see what they are up to, visit http://stjohnyouth.org.nz/iyf/index.html .

Kristy Janssen, our NT Ambassador is writing a blog during the festival. To find Kristy, search on Facebook by typing in Kristy’s name. Her photo is the red St John Ambulance logo.
