On 23rd February the Bendigo Bank invited me to their first annual shareholders meeting and presented a cheque for $1000. 20070403_HDThe Commissioner came along for some networking. The Bank was asked about the promise of funds for a new rural ambulance made some time back. I don't know why, but they baulked at the $1M to set up a staffed rural ambulance centre.

Well, congratulations are in order for John and Sue-Ellen for passing the hard part of their Clinical 1. Kay did well at the Remote Area First Aid, so good on you Kay.

Busy weekend just went by. Lyn, Lee and myself did the Pensioners Easter lunch at the Kalymnian Club with 3 cadets on Sunday. It was quite pleasant though not as big a crowd as we anticipated. Lee and Lyn then Joined Kay at the Litchfield Soccer. I went to People in Palmerston Parks as well.

John did the AFL Grand Final and Sue-Ellen made it to the Tiwi Grand Final so no doubt you will hear all about it on Tuesday.

I will not be there this Tuesday so a program will be arranged. The following week we will get a talk by Leslie King about St John, its history, ethics and broad organisation. Take your SDP and fill in all the missing bits. Have a go at that part of the SDP first before you get there.

Have got some new kit boxes to look at for personal and divisional kits and what we can do with them. Have other larger kits on order, and hopefully they will arrive before Freds Pass Show.

Divisional inspection is  coming up and Anzac Day will happen before that. Make sure your uniforms are in order and try and keep Anzac Day free because we are asked to a lot of community work on that day, some starting at dawn. Duty at Adelaide River War Ceremony can be arranged. Not necessarily transport but see me if you want to go. That is always a memorable event.
