Quite a big day at the Annual Parade. Humpty Doo put in a good attendance and we pulled off the big one. "Division of the Year for 2006".

20061114_HD_Division_YearWell done everyone. It was a real team effort and I thank you all for keeping me on the straight and narrow throughout.

Cadet Division of the year to Band Division. Well deserved and congratulations to DS McKay and her team.

Special thanks to Frank who showed up with his camera and support. I hope you enjoy what he includes in this newsletter. Frank is making a name for us at District as his editorial skills become better known.

But that's not all. On the way back in car 56 Lyn and I tried to drop off the water esky at the Palmerston vollie centre and a  patient discovered us before we could run away. We ended up transporting a suspect fractured collar bone (clavicle) to Royal Darwin. The crews were still run off their feet so we transported another patient from Nightcliff to Royal Darwin. It was a great education for Lyn and we got her home at about 2210 that night. I was a bit tired when I got home as well.

Not much for duties this week though I am expecting a Rally Car event at the end of the month as well as the Old Timers Duty on the last Wednesday. That will be the 29th.

I have identified a position that I hope Helen maybe able to help us with so we may be having two Divisional Officers in the near future.

For this coming week Robyn will be looking at first aid kits and what is supposed to be in them. Everyone is asked to bring what remains of their personal kits so we can see what is required to get them up to scratch. I think the lecture will cover Divisional kits as well. This will good for both new members and old.

Now that things have slowed down a bit I think I will run away. I am off to Perth for a couple of weeks as of the 13th November so I will miss the 14th and 21st. Lyn, John and Helen will be looking after training nights while I am away so I ask that you support them as you have supported me. I will still be contactable on my mobile and email.
