20090430-Adult-Competitions-Steve-Peers Bunnings Palmerston was the venue for this year’s Adult First Aid Competition and I’m sure that the competitors must have thought that we were going to have a scene with a chainsaw or perhaps a drill that had gone wrong. Instead it was a first aid post that a number of Bunnings patrons visited with various injuries and ailments – lacerations, burns, heart problems, headaches and one who had an accident with a forklift.

A big thank you to the Competition Manager, Angie Butler and all the helpers –adjudicators, causalities, scene managers, communications officer, isolation officers, scorers and cas sim staff. Competitions aren’t possible without the assistance of lots of members – thank you all.

It was a very close competition and congratulations to the winning team, Palmerston – Christine, Marion and Shaun and to Kate on winning the Individual section.
