When you become a St John Volunteer we will provide you with a uniform and training. There are however a few necessary requirements.

You must:
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess an Apply first aid, Senior First Aid (or equivalent) certificate or willing to obtain one
  • Provide evidence of good character
  • Provide evidence of a current and acceptable Criminal Record Check
  • Be medically fit to perform the role
  • Agree to abide by the St John Code of Conduct
  • Commit to engaging in an ongoing pathway of skills development
  • Be able to use the skills and knowledge acquired from training
  • Be prepared to undertake public duties and activities on a regular basis
  • Be capable of study to complete the necessary training

Retirement is determined on fitness and the ability to carry out the necessary first aid duties rather than age.
