nhulunbuy_region In November 1993, St John assumed responsibility for the Nhulunbuy Ambulance Service from the Department of Health.Nhulunbuy

St John Ambulance provide a 24/7 ambulance coverage out of the one ambulance station which is located in a building on the Gove District Hospital grounds. We have three full time paramedics which work on a rotation on call basis. We also work with St John Ambulance volunteer officers when they are available to assist us. Currently there are  17 active volunteer officers.

The Nhulunbuy centre also provide a full sales section and first aid kit restocking service to the local community, and also provide a first training service to the local community with an Apply first aid course and a re-fresher course most months of the year.

The region covered include the local township and communities ( Yirrkala, Marngarr & Galupo ) we also cover the East Arnhem region down as far as Bulman the Katherine Centre covers from the other side of Bulman in to Katherine.

Nhulunbuy Centre is locate on the ground of the Gove District Hospital and is part of the Hospital complex. The administration hours for Nhulunbuy is Monday – Friday 1230hrs – 1330hrs, excluding public holidays.

PLEASE NOTE: First aid training takes place at the Nhulunbuy Training Centre.
