position of Chief Surgeon at Darwin Hospital. His involvement with St John commenced in 1973 where he has been an inaugural Board member of St John Ambulance Australia (NT) Inc. commencing as the Chairman for the Training Branch before being appointed to Commissioner from 1978 to 1983. From 1984 to 1987 he continued to be apart of the Board as a Councillor, was Chairman in 1988 and Deputy Chairman from 1989 to 1996. Mr Bromwich is now President of the Board and has held this position since 1997.
