Funding received will assist in the purchase of a First Response Bag, Oxy Sock, Oxygen Gages Flow Meter, Glucometer, V-Vac Suction Unit, Portable Radio and Installation and an Automatic Defibrillator. St John Ambulance Volunteer services are delivered across the entire Northern Territory. All members of the community and visitors to the region, attending minor and major public events will benefit from the outcome of this contribution, with Volunteers now equipped with the necessary equipment to appropriately and quickly respond to medical emergencies and first aid needs of the community. “The support of the Clubs Community Grant Scheme ensures our ability to continue to provide First Aid coverage to events across the Territory as a service to the community” said Steve Peers, First Aid Services Manager. “As the Top End continues to grow and expand, the service provided by our volunteers is under greater demand. Funding for the fit out of this vehicle is a significant contribution to our volunteer capability!”.
