Training Testimonials

St John Ambulance NT's first aid courses are delivered by a team of qualified trainers who are supported by our customer focussed training administration team. Hear why our customers keeping coming back to us:

Thank you St John for delivering first aid training to our members. Feed back from the young women was consistently positive. Some of the comments included:

"...we really like Lynne. She keeps us on track and really makes us learn.”

“...I didn’t realise how much was involved (in the first aid training). Lynne is good, she explains things really well to make us understand. It’s important”

“...I feel like I know what to do if I need to step in and help someone. It was really good (the training).”

The staff found Lynne very professional, very clear in her instructions and requirements for the participants and of the support staff. She managed to remain flexible and versatile when it came to the space and the special needs of the participants without compromising the standard of training. - The YWCA of Darwin Parenting Support Program, February 2016

I just want to acknowledge the fantastic workshop presented by Ivan at our school. His presentation was explicit. We learnt many new pieces of information that were important for our setting. He was supportive as we tackled , with a degree of nervousness, the use of the AED while performing CPR. There was good humour and fun and he very patiently answered questions and repeated information as required. We feel better prepared to handle a crisis which hopefully will not occur!!! - Deb Levett, Alawa Primary School, February 2016

"Hi again Annetta, Just thought it would be worthwhile letting you know that we found Daniel to be an excellent trainer. We would definitely love to have him back at some stage. His experience and background on Goulburn Island meant that he related well to the participants and understood our need to have some flexibility with start times, etc.  Thanks also for your kind and patient service. It was a pleasure working with you. Sincerely, Andrew" - Andrew Stanton, Business Services Manager, Djidbidjidbi Residential College, Jabiru

"I recently completed the Apply First Aid course at the Casuarina, Darwin location.  I wanted to let you know that I thought Cathy was an outstanding presenter!  She made everyone in the class feel very comfortable, which translated into confidence - not something that all instructors possess in such measures.  I found the information very easy to assimilate, it was light-hearted enough to make everyone feel welcome but serious enough to get all the necessary information to sink in.  The practical sessions were very well run, and I did not note anyone feeling discomfort of any sort.  Bravo, Cathy!" - Dr Gregory Chandler, Northern Australia Quarantine Strategy (NAQS), DAFF Biosecurity

"I have been meaning to email about the First Aid training – excellent! The trainer was the reason for its success (Maurice). The students and staff thought she was brilliant! If she could be the trainer we have again next year that would be fantastic. Cannot speak any more highly of her and would recommend you use her for all training with student groups. Even the staff rated her as the best first aid trainer they had encountered!" – Rebecca McDonald commenting on training in Tennant Creek

"I would like to send a very big appreciation to Erelia Brons for her great knowledge and efforts in helping the women complete their course. They were so happy in doing this course and are happy to invite you back again. The ladies all went away with something they can remember from your teachings of first aid. So thank you once again." - Prudence Magee, Community Development Officer, Deewin Kirim Aboriginal Corporation
